Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara

Plans took shape out of thin air and all of a sudden I found myself in “Fame Lido” watching ZNMD.

“Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara” unravels adventures, mix of varied but subtle emotions, detailed characters, witty lines, pranks and humor. Hrithik’s transition from reckless financial broker to the easy-going person,  though clearly visible and well brought out in the character, is kind of abrupt and sudden.

The missing pieces in the puzzle like Hrithiks’s obsession with money, Abhay’s proposal, and the friction between Hrithik and Farhan, fall in place and fit quite well as the movie progresses with ‘Spain’ beautifully and effortlessly entwined with the characters.

It has a slight resemblance to ‘Dil Chahtha hai’ and yet different in many ways as well. From what I recall, DCH was about ‘boys’ grappling with life whereas in ZNMD, the ‘matured’ men seem to be drinking in the multitude experiences of life seamlessly and transitioning with it.

Overall, ZNMD is quite refreshing and pleasure to watch.
